Carlos Michael Roger Romeo, 49, of Marietta, born in Trinidad on December 9, 1962, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Chaplain Bill Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Mr. Romeo was a graduate of Robinson High School, Tampa, FL where he played in the band, acted and choreographed dances. He served in the U.S. Army and was known as a successful entertainer and philanthropist in the Atlanta area. He is survived by his daughter, Skye L. Romeo of Marietta; mother, Claire Romeo of Tampa, FL; sisters, Jacqueline Edwards of East Orange, NJ, Sandra Edwards of Trinidad and Tobago, Vera Grainger-Small of Trinidad and Tobago, Dauna Grace Murray of Hillsboro, OR, Nicole Romeo of Elk Grove, CA, Regina Romeo of Long Beach, CA; brothers, Richard Romeo of Marietta, GA, Bertram Grainger Edwards of Trinidad and Taboga, Randy Romeo of Trinidad and Tobago; former spouse, Heidi L. Romeo of Marietta, GA; 24 nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Martin Romeo.
