Aaron Fitzpatrick Lewis, son of Arnetta and Patrick Lewis, of Birmingham, Alabama, was born on June 11, 1998, in Birmingham, Alabama. He began his Christian walk at an early age when he united with Sardis Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Aaron made his heavenly transition on June 10, 2023 at the age of 24.

Aaron was academically astute. He graduated from Hillgrove High School as an honor student and went on to attend Lincoln University with an academic scholarship from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Aaron studied animal and environmental sciences and received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies. He was actively pursuing a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Purdue University. In both undergraduate and graduate studies, Aaron was loved and admired by fellow students, professors, and administrators. Aaron was an active student and received several honors throughout his matriculation.

He also served his community and participated with Adopt-a-Highway, Jefferson City Animal Shelter, Diwali Festival, Jefferson City Canoe Cleanup, and Lincoln University Campus Recycling Program. Aaron was a passionate lover of animals and well on his way to becoming a large animal veterinarian.

Above all of his academic and community accolades, the true spirit of Aaron was his love for his family and friends and they adored him tremendously. Aaron enjoyed outdoor activities such as swimming, bicycling, roller skating, and skiing. He also loved music and riding his motorcycle.

Preceding him in death are his grandfathers, Joe Lewis, Joseph Raymond Taylor, and Lee Edward Wilson. Aaron leaves to mourn his adoring parents, Patrick and Arnetta Lewis and his loving sisters, Nicollette and Jada. He also leaves behind his grandfather Emmitt (Renee)  Crenshaw, his grandmothers Mary Taylor and Lorena Wilson  and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00am in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. Mr. Lewis will be laid to rest at Zion Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama.
