Drew Blumberg, 53 years young, passed away unexpectedly leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, unforgettable memories, and an immeasurable impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Drew leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Tina Blumberg, and their beloved daughter, Haley Blumberg. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Barry and Linda Blumberg and is survived by his nieces, Rebecca Bready and Sarah Ray, and his nephews, Cody Ray, Eli Krash, and Eric Krash, father-in-law, Dwight Ray, Stepmom, Isabel Gulden, brother, Ethan Krash, stepsister, Kate Lipton, Step-brother, Ari Lipton, and many other sister and brother in laws, other family members, friends, colleagues, and former softball players who loved him dearly.
Drew was an incredibly successful entrepreneur and business owner who built and led IT and security companies before retiring in 2023.
While he was proud of what he accomplished professionally, his greatest impact could never be measured by business success alone.
One of Drew's greatest passions was softball. He spent years coaching travel softball, including some of the most elite teams and talented young athletes in the game. He was more than a coach— he was a mentor, a motivator, and someone who believed deeply in the girls he coached. The relationships he formed and the lives he touched through the sport remained incredibly special to him.
Above all Drew will be remembered for the way he made people feel. He was incredibly funny, quick-witted, thoughtful and generous, and had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. He never met a stranger, and to know Drew truly was to love him.
His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but the laughter, stories, friendships, and memories he gave so freely will live on in the countless lives he touched. Drew was deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will remain in our hearts until we are together again.
Marietta Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Drew Blumberg.
