Angelia (Angie) Maria Edwards, age 69, of Marietta, passed away on July 22, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service. 

 Angie is survived by her sisters; Sandy Edwards, Shelia Jones, Nyelia Wilson and her brother, Frank Edwards. She is also survived by nephews, great nephews, and nieces. Each one was special to her. 

 Angie was a lifelong resident of the Marietta area. She graduated from Sprayberry Highschool in 1973 and attended Kennesaw State University. She was a system engineer and project manager for Sprint, but her career was cut short due to a disability. 

 Angie always loved her sports. During her highschool days at Sprayberry, her basketball team held the title of state champions. Angie's next love for sports was softball. During her time playing softball, she developed many lifelong friendships. 

 Angie was an avid collector of Coca-Cola and Mickey Mouse collectibles. She had a massive collection of the two. Last, but not least, was her love for her fur-babies. Her dogs were like children to her. Nothing was too good for her fur-babies. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the  Cobb County Humane Society  and animal shelter.
