Barbara McDowell, 86, of Marietta, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00pm Saturday, November 7 ^th at Marietta Funeral Home 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066.

Ms. McDowell retired from Georgia Ports Authority.  After retirement she worked for Burger's Market for almost 20 years where she made many friends throughout the years.  She had a love for animals and a passion for bird watching and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Addie Mae White and W.M. White; one son, Shawn Robert McDowell who passed away on the same day as his mother, November 2nd; brother, Richard (Dick) White; Survivors include grandson, Robert Currie McDowell of Jasper; granddaughter, Wendy Michelle McDowell of Ball Ground; great-grandson, Ashton Free Kelly of Rockmart.
