Brian Alan Garrett, age 68, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Marietta Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

A lifelong resident of Cobb County Mr. Garrett. He was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation from which he retired on February 7, 2016 after 36 years of service. He was an avid deer hunter, loved playing golf, doing woodwork, and he enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses. He was a big sports fan especially of the Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and the Masters Golf Tournament. He enjoyed the beach and the woods. He enjoyed the company of many friends and was always the life of the party with his quick wit and practical jokes. Brian was an active member of the Kennesaw Jaycees and Georgia Jaycees where he won several awards for his accomplishments and was a member of the Georgia Jaycee Rebel Corps and Georgia Jaycee Senate organizations.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Woodrow (Woody) Garrett. Survivors include: his wife of 38 years, Eva Maxwell Garrett of Kennesaw, GA; his mother Barbara Garrett of Kennesaw, GA; his sister Cindy Garrett Swann of Canton, GA nephew Alan Swann and niece Wendi Swann; three aunts, one uncle and several cousins. Brian had a special relationship to Eva's family: her brother Bobby Maxwell and wife Drucilla; Lisa Quinn and husband Jeff; Joy Suskind and husband Jeff; nephews, James Maxwell, Lee Maxwell and Jonathan Maxwell and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
