Catherine Hoyle Shrodes, 53, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019.   Cathy is survived by her husband, Kevin Shrodes, Sr.; her parents, Lawrence and Mary Jo Hoyle; brother, Joseph Hoyle (Suzie) and her beloved "bonus" children, Samantha Shrodes Welch (Greg); Alexandria Shrodes Murr (George); Kevin Shrodes, Jr. (Ashley); grandchildren, Madison, Skylar and Jillian Welch; and nieces, Danielle and Cameron Hoyle and many other family members and friends.

Cathy worked as a medical assistance nurse and office manager for Dr. Imani Vannoy for more than thirty years until her illness forced her to retire.  She was a life-long philanthropist, spending many hours volunteering with the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary and other charities throughout the years, helping many.  She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Transfiguration in Marietta.  She adored being Nana to her children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, July 26 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, July 27 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA  30066, 770.422.1234.  A Funeral Mass will follow on July 27 at 1:00 pm at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, Father Brian McNavish officiating.  Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, 4325 Highway 92 Acworth, GA.
