Charlene Rogers Fain, a devoted nurse and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026. A resident of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Charlene lived a life defined by her commitment to healing others and her unwavering devotion to her family and faith. A native of Harrison County, Tennessee, Charlene was a proud graduate of Ooltewah High School. Her passion for caregiving led her to the Clara Barton School of Nursing, where she earned her LPN Certification. Her thirst for knowledge and professional excellence continued at Cleveland State Community College, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse.  Throughout her distinguished career, Charlene touched countless lives while serving at Erlanger Hospital (Chattanooga, TN) West Paces Ferry Hospital (Atlanta, GA) Advanced Surgery Center of Georgia. Beyond her professional life, Charlene was a woman of many talents and simple pleasures. She found great joy in reading, intricate needlework, and cooking for her family and friends. Most importantly, she cherished her role serving alongside her husband, Dr. Wayne, in the Lord's ministry.

Charlene is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Wayne Fain; her brother, Steven L. Rogers (Amy) of Chattanooga; and her sister-in-law, Yvonne Rogers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Tina Lemorrin, Dilene Smith, Paul Rogers, Jr., and Marty Rogers. She leaves behind very dear friends, Eric Young and Darcy Young, and her "grandchildren of the heart," who brought immense light to her life: Brandon Young, Bobby Young (Calli), Macy Young, Great Grandchildren, Memphis Young and Madden Young.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Marietta Funeral Home (915 Piedmont Rd, Marietta, GA 30066). The funeral service will follow immediately at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tony Weaver officiating. Interment will take place later that afternoon at 2:30 PM CST at Crestwood Memorial Gardens, 2209 East Broad Street, Gadsden, Alabama 35903.
