Mr. Charles E. Cox, age 90 of Marietta, passed away on June 17, 2026.

Funeral service will be held at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA with Pastor Justin Holcomb, officiating, on Thursday June 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on July 6, 2026 at 2:00 pm with military honors.

Mr. Cox served in the US Army for four years and he retired from the City of Atlanta, after being employed over 36 years. He had been on several mission trips to help build churches in the last 20 years and he was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Gerry Cox of Marietta, one son, Tim Cox (Jenny) of Kennesaw, two grandsons, Caleb Cox (Leslie) and Joshua Cox (Nastassia), several nieces, nephews and cousins.
