Chase
Whatley
Jul 7, 2009 — Oct 2, 2023
Marietta
Stephen "Chase" Whatley
Born July 7th, 2009, in Warner Robins, Georgia to Stephen and Katherine Whatley. Died Monday, October 2nd, 2023. He was 14 years old.
Chase was a special kid. Despite living only 14 years, Chase left a massive impact on this world and those he shared his life with. Chase was cherished by his family; he shared many movies, stories, and hugs with his mother, and loved to build things, work on cars, and play games with his dad. He spent many school vacations with his extended family, holidays with his grandparents D and Neal, or at "Camp Mema" with grandparents Renay and Matt. He loved visiting his cousins in Nebraska and was adored by his baby cousins in Florida. He was the best son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Chase spent his time befriending every animal he met, playing video games, traveling, swimming, playing baseball, going to Georgia Tech games, adventuring, building Legos, loved Star Wars, Marvel movies, anime, and bringing joy to those around him. He could eat a box of Cap'n Crunch in a matter of days and had a discerning palate for drive-through chicken sandwiches. He had a unique sense of humor. He always stood up for other people and was a loyal friend. He is truly beloved.
Chase is survived by his mother and father, Kat and Stephen, his sister Ashley, grandparents Neal Whatley, and Matt and Renay Ownbey, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Denise Whatley.
For those who wish to pay their respects, Chase's visitation will be Saturday 10/7 from 2-5 pm at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd Marietta.
