Cherith Ann Sawyer's love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Cherith passed away on July 25, 2022 at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with numerous health issues, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Cherith was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed attending the Jasper Georgia Prayer Meeting. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Cherith. She loved a quiet evening with friends and family, and enjoyed going to Tybee Island soaking in the sun. Cherith's children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of her kind spirit, passion for music, love of reading, and zest for life will live on through them.

Cherith rejoins her loved ones and is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Jane Martin, her mother Shirley Ann Johnson, her aunts and uncles, her late late husband James Duren, and her late husband Tommy Sawyers.

Mrs. Sawyers is survived by her aunt, Brenda Kemp of Dallas GA; children, Kristina Farison of Acworth GA, Shavon and Brian Duren of Ellijay GA, Joshua and Derek Hill of Kennesaw GA, Stephen Duren of Ballground GA, and Justin Duren of Marble Hill, GA. Her grandchildren, Meghan Nelson, Brittany Garrett, Brandon Pence, Wesley Duren, and great grandson (D.J.) Dusty James. She is also survived by her fiancé, Zack Nix of Kennesaw, GA. She was a mom and nana to many other children as well.

A Celebration of life service will be held at Action Church at 271 Marietta Rd, Canton, GA 30114, on Sunday July 31, 2022 at 6p.m. The family asks that everyone coming on Sunday to please wear her favorite color, purple.
