Cheryl Ryans (nee Cargen) of Marietta, GA, passed away on July 7, 2024. She was born at Fort Devens, MA to the late J. Bruce and Helen Cargen on December 12, 1944 and raised in Melrose, MA where she graduated from Melrose High School.

Cheryl went on to attend Southern Seminary Junior College (now Southern Virginia University). She worked for many years as an administrative assistant for FM Global in Waltham, MA before retiring and relocating to Marietta, GA. Cheryl had a creative spirit and a talent for beautifying living spaces. She was a Master bridge player and played during her retirement years with her wonderful friends at the Tim D. Lee Senior Center in Marietta. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, George; her son, Bruce, and his wife, Maria; her daughter, Beth, and her husband, David; her four grandchildren – Amanda, Thomas, Ella, and Bryce; her best friend of 70 years, Nancy; and her beloved cat, Sophie.

Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Known for her laughter and her unwavering dedication to her family, she will be deeply missed.
