Cheryl Carter Thornton won her victory against cancer by engaging life as a loving wife and mother, early childhood educator, organic gardener, bread baker, and student of God's Word. She excelled as a life coach to friends and neighbors, a mentor to teens and young mothers, and foster mom to anyone who walked through her door. She is survived by her husband, three adult children, eight grandchildren, her mother, her sister, and all those who credit her with saving or changing their lives. On the morning of December 19 ^th , 2021, Cheryl passed into eternity and continues her walk with the Lord.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church from 11:00AM - 1:00PM with a memorial service following at 1:00PM
