Mr. Christopher Daniel Lawrence, age 47, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 11:00AM-1:00PM with the funeral service starting at 1:00PM in the Chapel at Marietta Funeral Home. Chris will be laid to rest at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, GA, immediately following the service. 

 Chris will be remembered for many things including his love of movies, music, and animals. 

 Chris loved watching movies from the time he was a young boy. His love of movies even evolved into one of his favorite jobs, running the video department at Kroger. Chris could name many actors and their roles and knew movies by heart. Along with movies, Chris often enjoyed playing video games or playing a game of chess. 

 Chris's love of music involved writing, singing, and playing music. He loved to play his guitar while singing songs he had written or while singing gospel and country music. His writing even included writing cards for loved ones because they came from his heart and not from a store. 

 Only Chris's love of animals surpassed his love of music. Chris was an avid lover of all animals and took in as many as he could. He felt that pets could help you with anxiety, and they also keep you from ever being bored. His faithful companion, Rocky, a constant presence for the past decade, will miss Chris greatly. 

 Chris's presence will be dearly missed by his friends at Mt. Tabor Community Baptist Church, where he was an active member and admired Pastor Don. Known for his humor and willingness to help others, Chris touched many lives with his kindness. 

 Chris is survived by his wife, Christy Lawrence; children AJ and Jessie Buchanan; parents Vicki and Phil Griffith; sisters Michelle Madden and Angel Lorkowski, along with extended family and friends who hold him dear in their memories. 

 In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Chris' honor to the  Cobb County Humane Society  ,  Fur Kids Animal Rescue and Shelter  , or your favorite animal rescue.
