Coburn Barrett Shaw (Coby), loving husband, father, and Papa went to be with the Lord on November 8 th , 2022 at the age of 72. Coby was born October 14th, 1950 in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Marietta High School and the University of Georgia. After graduation, he served with Campus Crusade for Christ for seven years. During that time, he met his wife, Helen Vander Maten. They were married August 20th, 1976 and recently celebrated their 46th anniversary. Coby served the State of Georgia as a probation officer for 25 years.
Coby enjoyed his grandchildren, friends, golf, playing guitar, and being involved at church. He was known for his kind, friendly nature.
He is survived by his wife Helen, sons Daniel Shaw and Michael Shaw, daughter Julie Audia, and son-in-law Dan Audia. Coby and Helen have five grandchildren: Jonathan, Hannah, Matthew, Amy, and Natalie Audia. He is also survived by brother Randy Shaw and his wife Belinda.
He was preceded in death by parents Jack and Wanell Shaw, sister Angie and brother-in-law Bill Hall, and brother Howie Shaw.

A funeral service will be held at East Cobb Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 14th at 1:00pm.  The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm at Marietta Funeral Home on Sunday, November 13th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Cobb Presbyterian Church Missions.
