Corine Earwood Gilchrist Rikard, age 86, of Marietta, GA died on Monday, December 21, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. Visitation is from 12:30 – 2:30PM, Saturday, December 26 at Marietta Funeral Home in Marietta, GA.
Mrs. Rikard was born March 20, 1934 in Marietta, Georgia to Ennis and Corine Earwood. She attended Osborne High School and after graduating in 1951 she worked for Lockheed Martin where she retired after 45 years of service. In 1953 she married James Isaac Gilchrist and they had three children. She lost her husband in 1977.
Mrs. Rikard relocated to Panama City Beach, FL after marrying Barty Rikard in 1999. They enjoyed the beach, beautiful weather, and wonderful friends. She was a member of Gulfview United Methodist Church, Panama City, FL. When living in Marietta, Georgia she was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She was an avid dancer who loved to travel, shop, and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Isaac Gilchrist, her second husband, Berry "Barty" Rikard and her daughter, Debra A. Gilchrist. She is survived by her sons, James E. Gilchrist (Kim) of Wellington, FL, and Charles G. Gilchrist (Kim) of Marietta, GA; stepsons, Berry B. Rikard Jr. of Panama City, FL, Randy L. Rikard (Michelle) of Emerson, GA, Timmy B. Rikard (Sherri) of Marietta, GA, Roddy C. Rikard (Jody) of Patrick, SC, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rikard is also survived by her three sisters, her twin sister, Colene Weathers, Diane Caldwell, and Sandra Hange, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Although they were separated by miles, they had an extremely close relationship and loved each other deeply. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Caldwell, Chad Caldwell, Trevor Lester, Ben Chabot, and Chris May.
