Donna Kay
Shaw
Aug 1, 1954 — Apr 26, 2026
With hearts filled with both sorrow and steadfast faith in Christ, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Donna Shaw, born August 1, 1954, who entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2026.
Donna was a God-fearing woman whose entire life was anchored in faith and guided by His Word. From childhood, she was a devoted member of N.E. Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, GA— the same church where she later raised her family and where she will be laid to rest beside her parents and her husband. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and she lived that love daily. Her faith was not merely spoken; it was demonstrated in every choice, every act of kindness, and every prayer she lifted.
She embodied grace, compassion, and selflessness. To know her was to encounter genuine kindness. She cared deeply for others, always ready with a warm meal, a listening ear, or a heartfelt prayer. She carried the burdens of those around her as if they were her own, giving freely and without hesitation.
As her children, we were blessed beyond measure. She was our teacher in faith, our example of unwavering strength, and our source of unconditional love. She taught us to trust God in every season and reminded us that His plans are always greater than our own.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is now at peace. Her life was a living testimony of God's goodness, and her legacy will continue to shine through all who were touched by her love.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, John Shaw. She leaves behind her brother, Terry Kendall; her children, John Kendall (Amy) Shaw, Jenna Wilson, and Ashleigh (Nick) DeMarco; her grandchildren, Carmen, Cameron, Wyatte, Logan, Noah, Colton, Bella, Jaxson, and Payton; her great-grandchild, Hadley; along with nieces, a nephew, and a countless number of cousins and extended family who cherished her deeply.
We find comfort in the words of Scripture:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." — Psalm 23:1, 6
We take solace in believing she has heard the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant," and has entered into the joy of her Lord
