Doris Jean Drennen, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Doris was born on June 3, 1946, in Pleasant Shade, TN. She later married Paul A. Drennen, Jr. (Bud) of Massillon, OH and moved to Marietta, GA. Bud proceeded her in death in 2017. Their marriage was built on love, loyalty, and shared devotion to their family.

A woman of faith, Doris was a longtime member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. She also regularly attended Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta, GA for the past 50 years. Professionally, she built meaningful careers with Eastern Airlines as a reservation agent, and for Hewlett Packard as an executive administrative assistant.

Doris found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Schwartz (Steven) of Canton, GA, and Brooke Downey (Eric) of Roswell, GA. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Hunter Schwartz of Canton, GA, and Trey Anglin and Liam Anglin, both of Roswell, GA. She is also survived by her sister Carol Gibbs (Glen) of Lebanon, TN; sister Mary Parker of Riddleton, TN; sister June Hinton (Leslie) of Portland, TN; brother William Beasley Jr. (Butter) of Mt. Juliet, TN; and sister in law Susie Donohoe (Greg) of Wooster, OH. Doris leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom held her close in their hearts.

Doris will be remembered for her sense of humor, her faith, and the strength she carried throughout her fierce 10 year battle with cancer. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the love she shared so generously.
