Dorothy "Dot" Hawkins, 92 passed away peacefully at home under the care of hospice.

Mrs. Hawkins lived in Cobb County for over 79 years & moved to Cherokee County in 2019.  She graduated from Marietta High School in 1945.  She worked as a bookkeeper for her family's business for over sixty years.  She was a loving wife, mother & grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanier Hawkins; her parents, Hoke & Grace Davis; her brothers, Charles Davis & Doug Davis.  Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra & David Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Gary Robinson; son and daughter-in-law, David & Dawn Hawkins, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid restrictions, and at the request of the family, a private family service will be held at a later date.  A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20 from 11:00 - 12:30pm at Marietta Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be mailed to Faith Community Church (Building Fund) 345 Pkwy. 575, suite 100, Woodstock, GA 30188.
