Dorothy Carol Powers, 81, of Marietta passed away Friday, February 6, 2026. Memorial service will be held 3:00pm on Sunday at in the Chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00pm on Sunday prior to the service.

Dorothy grew up in California and was the oldest of four children. She was a well-known sports photographer for 20 years traveling all across the southeast United States.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Tim Nettleton and Jeff Nettleton, grandchildren, Jon, Chris, Nick, Luke, Catherine and David; dog named Penny.
