Mr. Earl W. Ellenburg, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and Great Grandfather, departed this earth to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on June 14, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia at Grady memorial Hospital.  Earl was 82 years old.

Earl was born in Fort Bragg Army base in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on January 17, 1943, and was raised by his parents.

Earl graduated from Red springs High School in 1961, Joined the piece Corp from 1961 to 1962, then joined the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborn division from 1963 to 1966.  From there, he attended Fayetteville State College and earned an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering.  He also became a registered Land survivor.  Earl began working with the North Carolina Department of Transportation shortly after obtaining his degree, moving up to Resident Engineer in Lumberton North Carolina.  Earl retired from the NCDOT in 1998.

Earl is the father of Jeffry B. Ellenburg and James L. Ellenburg.  He is also the Grandfather of Tesa L Braxton, Breanna C. Ayala, Kyle B. Ellenburg, Dylan L. Ellenburg and  Samson L Ellenburg.  Earl is also the Great Grandfather to 6 wonderful Children.

Earl is proceeded in death by his parents Earl W. Ellenburg Sr and Dorothy J. Hall Ellenburg and his sister Patrishia L Ellenburg.
