Edward G. Ray Jr. was a loving friend, uncle, brother, father, and husband. Edward was born on March 23, 1946 to Edward Sr. and Mamie Ray. Edward is predeceased by his parents, his sisters Elsie Ramdon and Ruby Ray, and his brothers Fred and Joe Ray. Edward is survived by; his wife, Yvonne Ray, his children Edward Ray III (Francis Ray) and Sabrina Ray. His grandchildren, Brandie Ray, Dezyrea Hornbaker, Alexyis Ray, Brailynn Ray, Kendyreana Ray and Kyrease Ray. Edward is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Leroy Ray, Pearl Lofton, Taha Malik, Mickey Ray, Raymond Ray, Joyce Owens, Gloria Ray, Benjamin Ray, and Ernest Ray. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edward worked for IBM as a communication technician for 38 years. Before going into the technology and consulting world, Edward served almost three years in the military. Edward was recognized for serving his country honorably. He received various medals including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device, and the Vietnam Service Medal w/Battle Star.

There are so many who looked up to Edward for comfort, advice, and love. Edward never met a stranger. Edward will always be remembered for his intelligence, stubbornness, his wit, and his love for computers. Most importantly he will be remembered for his sacrifice and devotion to his family up until his passing on October 13, 2020.   He will be greatly missed.
