Elyas Antonio Gonzalez was a life-changing experience. He exceeded our family motto, "The Gonzalez Tribe are chain breakers".  Ely gave us the gift of complete and absolute trust in God. He gave us the real meaning of family. His life healed wounds and brought about lifelong bonds that will never end. Our warrior loved music and doted on his big sister and brother.

In his final days, he met significant milestones and YET AGAIN confounded everyone. He will be missed. We take courage and hope in the inescapable fact that our warrior, Ely, has gone on to be with Our Father in heaven. For this cause, we find peace and joy in this time of heartache.

Elyas is survived by his loving parents; Elyse and Ranse Gonzalez, siblings; Leona and Marcus, grandparents; James Barkley, Deborah Barkley, and Liliana Jimenez. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, God- mother, and a host of family and friends who loved him fiercely.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 12:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. Ely's memorial service will follow at 1:00pm.
