Evelyn Ruth Alexander, 93, of Holly Hill, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Atlanta, GA to William Marion Hughes and Millie Ruth Shaw. She was a resident of Cobb County, GA for most of her early life. She was a member of many organizations including the Iras Temple #40, Daughters of the Nile (Boise, ID), Cornelia Chapter #480 Order of The Eastern Star, a life member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sweetwater, FL.

Evelyn was preceded in death by parents as well as her husband, Bernard Holt Alexander. Survivors include daughters, "Judy" Anne Davis of Columbiana, AL and "June" Arlene Bigham of Ormond Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jay, Jan, Stacey, Emily and Rebecca; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Hughes of Marietta, GA.

Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, a private service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Marietta Funeral Home with burial following at Mountain View Park Cemetery, Marietta, GA.
