Fernando passed away on August 20, 2026, after a long battle with congestive heart failure, surrounded by the love of the family who meant everything to him. Originally from Mexico, Fernando made Woodstock, Georgia, his home for more than 30 years. He was a hardworking and devoted husband to his beloved wife and best friend Ines, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories. Fernando was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, brother, and uncle. Family was at the center of his life, and he loved his family with all of his heart. Anyone who knew Fernando knew his larger-than-life personality. He was often the life of the party, always ready with a joke and a huge smile on his face. He loved being surrounded by the people he cared about, and his humor and presence could fill a room. Fernando will be remembered for his strength, his hardworking nature, his sense of humor, and most of all, the love he had for his family. His absence leaves an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved him, but the memories, laughter, and love he gave throughout his life will remain with them forever. He will be deeply loved, dearly missed, and never forgotten.

A memorial service to celebrate Fernando's life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
