Fred Moran Elam, 96 of Marietta, passed away April 9, 2026.  Please check for service information.

Fred was born in Fulton, KY.  He grew up in a farming family and was a Veteran with the U.S. Army.  Fred was the first in his family to get a college degree.  He was active in numerous churches throughout the years.  Fred loved to work in the yard and in his younger years loved to hunt.

Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Marie Elam.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Elam; son Jeff Elam.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Marietta, with a reception to immediately follow the service. The family will receive friends from 12:15 pm until 1:00 pm on the day of the service.
