Guy Howard Miller, Sr., of Marietta, GA died Friday, June 19, 2020. He was born in Gainesville, GA, August 30, 1935.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Linda Lord Miller; a daughter, Cathrine (Cathy) Miller, of Kennesaw, GA; a son, Guy H. Miller, Jr., and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Beth) Malone Miller and three grandchildren, Elissa, Matson, and Caitlia of Cumming, GA. He also leaves a brother, Donald (Don) G. Miller (wife, Shirley Brown Miller) of Marietta. Sisters-in-law, Juanita Lord Cheek of Dallas; Sara Lord Malmen (husband, Dick) of Santa Maria, CA, Donna Lord of Kennesaw. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Guy and Bonnie Ellard Miller; and his sister, Betty Jean Miller Motes.

He graduated from Sprayberry High School, Marietta; proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force Reserves; worked at Lockheed A/C for 20 years and retired from Georgia Duck and Cordage Mill in Avondale after 25 years. He worked as a Bailiff in the Cobb County State Court for 11 years.

He was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church and The Seekers Bible Study Class.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020.
