Homer Anderson Muse, Jr, 82, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at home with his loving family and friends by his side. He fought a strong fight with his cancer illness.

He was the crazy uncle of our family. He was "Homey" and "G-PA" to his 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, with 1 more due this week. He was known for his "stories" that he told all of the time, and he never met a stranger.

Born to his parents Homer Anderson Muse and Eunice Beatrice Muse of Sugar Valley, Georgia. Homer was one that if you met him, you could not forget him. He considered Dent Myers his friend and his mentor. He touched so many hearts that he didn't realize. His loving wife, his "pretty girl" was so blessed to share a life with him.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 61 years, Sandra (Daniel) Muse; his children, Mike (Sherri) Muse, Lt. Colonel Eric Muse, Gretchen (Jeff) Meuschke; 11 grandchildren, Kelsey, Hannah, Madilyn, Matthew, Chloe, Eli, Jeffrey, and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Lydia, Ryder, Cole, Owen, Anders, Bellamy, Navy, Romy, Ashley, Emerson, and one on the way this week (Elizabeth).

We give our love and appreciation to Dr. Carolyn Smallwood, Dr. Raul Oyola, chemo-nurse Saron, all the others at Northwest Kennestone Oncology, and nurse Jemma at Agape Hospice. They are all our dear friends.

Funeral services will be at Marietta Funeral Home, Piedmont Rd. Marietta, GA. On Friday, October 11 at 2:00 PM.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org
