On Monday, September 28, 2020, Pat Newton, wonderful husband, father, and Pops passed away
unexpectedly at the age of 73. Pat was born August 21, 1947, to Ellen and Hugh Newton in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Ole Miss and was in the insurance business for more than 50 years. He married Brenda Stinson on January 20, 1973, and they raised 2 amazing children, Amanda Pache (CJ), and Patrick Newton (Melissa). They were married nearly 48 years. Pat is survived by his wife, their children, their spouses, and 3 of the little people who made him a Pops; Ava James Newton, and twins Jack and Emma Newton. Those little ones were his absolute pride and joy and nothing made him smile like they did!
He loved his Ole Miss Rebels, Atlanta Braves, and his Scottie dog, Scottie! They would walk 2 or 3 times a
day, and loved being outside. He was also an avid golfer and played most Fridays with his golf buddies.
Pat is also survived by a brother in Oxford, MS, Dr. Bob Newton, his wife Marilyn, and their 4 daughters,
spouses, and their children.
He will be terribly missed by all who knew his quick wit and contagious laugh!
Marietta Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and a celebration of life will be held at a later day.
