Ikuko "Butch" Minakuchi Wilson peacefully completed her life's work here on October 26, 2024.

Born in Kyoto, Japan to the late Hayako and Kiyoteru Minakuchi on December 1,1929. Her marriage to Lavan Wilson lasted until his passing in 1995. Left to cherish lasting memories of love and goodness are her three children and families: Caroline (Don) Singletary, Kennetth (Patricia) Wilson, Susan (Brian) Meares; five grandchildren-Todd (Jennifer) Singletary, Samuel (Kristen) Singletary, Emilee Singletary, Eric (Heather) Meares, Luke (Hannah) Meares; eight great-grandchildren; her only sister, Hanae Shiromoto. She is also fondly remembered with love by numerous nieces and nephews.

Her life's work was in serving others in humility, love and unselfishness. It began with the church choir, handbells, and extended as a hospital volunteer well into her seventies. Always one to see the best in others and made each grandchild and great-grandchild feel as if they were the most special. Her small statue belied the size of her heart as she freely gave of herself to those she knew.

The family and friends will celebrate her life December 14, 2024 in the city where she lived the longest with her husband and friends. Honor her with contributions to your charity of choice or serve others in need.
