Billy "Jack" Givens, Sr.

Billy Jack Givens, Sr., 86, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Jack is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Jean Givens; their children Wanda Givens, Donna Givens Bowman (James), Tammy Givens Ledford (Andy), Billy Jack "Bubba" Givens, Jr., Scott Givens, and Missy Givens Wilson (Jeff); sisters Betty Chapman and Jerrie Shuler; as well as eleven grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his and Barbara's daughter Sherri Jane Givens; his parents Alex Jackson and Ruby Inez Givens; his brothers Mayes, Lewis, and Donny Givens and his sister Annette Gibson.

Jack was the founder and owner of Jack's Tire and Auto Service. He opened on Canton Road on September 19, 1970. He later opened stores on Clay Street in Marietta and Highway 92 in Woodstock. Jack's Tire won many awards over the years including Top Tire Dealer in the Southeast. Jack also owned and operated Givens Emissions with vehicle emissions stations around Marietta and Woodstock.

Jack was a long-time Mason and member of Samuel S. Lawrence Lodge. He was elevated to the 32° through the Scottish Rite and was a long-time member of the Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club.

The family will receive friends the evening of Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.
