James Andrew Welton, 77 of Marietta, GA passed away suddenly on October 14, 2023.

James was born on October 14, 1946, in Lockport, New York, to the late James and Bernice (Daigler) Welton.

Mr. Welton is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mariette (Mally) Welton. James is also survived by his four children, their spouses, and nine grandchildren. Annette (Douglas), Emily, Isabel, JD, and Elizabeth, Joseph (Lisa), Timothy (Keri), Caden, and Abigail, Jonathan (Jennifer), Jon Micheal, Julie, and Jake. James is survived by his siblings, Joan (Mark), Jean (Donald), twin -sister Jane (Garry), Donald, Ronald (Rachel) and many nieces and nephews. James is survived by special family friends Cynthia, and Christina (Jeff), Lauren, and Samantha. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Mr. Welton worked for the Federal Government for over 30 years and Kohl's for 17 years. He enjoyed traveling with Mariette, family, and friends.

Jim also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at sporting events and vacations.

Visitation will be held from 5-6pm with a Chapel Memorial Service at 6pm on October 19, 2023,
at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Road Marietta, GA.
