Mrs. Anita Jean Guess, 95, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 04, 2023.

Jean loved her family, planting flowers in the yard, and refinishing antiques. She opened "By Gone Treasures Antiques" in the early 1970's in downtown Kennesaw. She was also instrumental in founding "Kennesaw Trade Days", now known as "The Big Shanty Festival".

Jean is predeceased by her husband, Gene Guess, and her son, Kevin Guess. She is survived by her son, Craig (Donna) Guess; sister, Bobbie Bliven; daughter-in-law, Debra Guess; grandchildren, Michelle (Tara) Guess, Erica (Jared) Davidson, and Chad Guess. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Cole Guess, Emerson Guess, Dominic Davidson, Cameron Davidson, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5:00-8:00PM. The funeral service for Mrs. Guess will take place in the chapel at Marietta Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00AM. Mrs. Guess will be laid to rest at Kennesaw City Cemetery on Friday, December 8, 2023 immediately following the service.
