Jim Johnson, 80, of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. Jim was a Cobb County native. After serving in the Army, he went to work and retired from both Bell South, and Lockheed Martin. He was a devoted member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church and its choir. When he wasn't serving there, he could usually be found in his garden. He also loved music, reading a good book, cooking new meals, and traveling. He adored his wonderful family and loved the life that he lived.

Jim is survived by his wife, Libby Johnson; daughter, Shana Johnson; son, Dan (Sherri) Johnson; Brother, Hugh (Ann) Johnson; grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, and Seth Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org
