J.D. King, passed away peacefully at the age of 80, surrounded by friends and family on November 6th, 2022. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

J.D. is survived by his wife Jackie of 49 years, son Alex King, brother Roger King, sister Linda Gallman, Grandson Sullivan King, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

J.D. was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, and worked as a general contractor for 30 years. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed movies (westerns), gardening and was an avid reader of all subjects. J.D. was always there to help relatives and friends with any project or task asked of him.

The memorial service for Mr. King will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home.
