Joan Kay Fetting, resident of Marietta, Ga. passed into the arms of Jesus while surrounded by her loved ones on August 12, 2021, at the age of 74.

Joan was widowed from her husband, Manfred W. Fetting in 2006.  Her brother, John Plasky, predeceased her in 1984. She is survived by her two children, David Fetting (Tracey Fetting - wife) and Jennifer Ronson (David Ronson - husband). She was a beloved Mimi to her four grandchildren, Will Fetting, Cole Ronson, Benjamin Ronson, and Clara Ronson.  She is also survived by her loving sister, Jayne Olig, and her sister-in-law, Paula Plasky. Additionally, she is survived by her niece, Lauren Kelly, and her nephew, Jason Plasky.

Joan was truly a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend; active in the lives of her family, her friends, and her church.  She was a lover of dogs and books.  Her compassion, faith, and her gentle soul endeared her to all that she knew. She will be genuinely and profoundly missed by the many who were blessed by her love and faith.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her church, St. Andrew United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to Southeastern Guide Dogs can be made in her honor.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mariettafuneralhome.org
