Joanne Marie Ellis Brock, 73, of Marietta, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Dec. 28th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was associated with Shorter College and Kennesaw State University as a lecturer and instructor. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Russell Edgar Brock Jr.; daughter, Allison Lorraine Brock; son, Russell Edgar Brock III and granddaughter, Sabrina Katelyn Brock. She is also survived by her sisters, April Hardin and husband Aubry, Linda Loveless and husband Wayne and brother, Duane Ellis and wife Stephanie and by nephews, Toby, Scott, Dee, Daniel, Derek, Austin, Alex and niece, Ashley. A Memorial Service will be held at Marietta Funeral Home on Friday Jan. 3rd, 2020 with the Father Beau Davis officiating. Visitation will be at 12pm and service will be at 1pm.
