Joseph Rosen, 93, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1929 in Bronx, New York to Harry and Rebecca (Geher) Rosen. Including his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Louise M. Rosen, his second wife, Kere Heberek, and daughters, Reba Suzanne Rosen and Julia Rosen Richards. Survivors include; daughter, Carol Rosen (Woodstock, GA), son-in-law, Scott Richards (Dallas, GA), grandchildren, Nicole Fishman (Woodstock, GA), Ryan Richards (Rome, GA), Jennifer Sheehan (Kennesaw, GA), step-grandchildren, Scott Richards II (Dallas, GA), Jeremy Richards (Marietta, GA), great-grandchildren, Miana Fishman (Woodstock, GA), Pax Richards (Dallas, GA), Alek Richards, (Suwanee, GA), Oliver Sheehan (Kennesaw, GA), Archer Sheehan (Kennesaw, GA), Liam Richards (Rome, GA), nephew, Robert Kalman (Brewster, New York), and nieces, Rebecca Olshan (Manhattan, New York) and Michelle Pearlmutter (Matthews, North Carolina).

Grandpa Joe was a soft spoken and kind hearted man to his family and everyone he met. A lover of Big Band era music, he traveled the United States as a band member playing the saxophone. After his leaving the band and marrying his wife Louise, he had a continued love of music so he opened a record retail location in New York.  He was always telling jokes and made everyone laugh, even up to just days before his passing. He was calm in every situation that came his way and would always say, "Well, what ya going to do?"

He always wanted to help anyone when he could. He enjoyed being around people and carrying on conversations, even with strangers. He will be missed by those that he touched in some way. Family will surely miss his stories, jokes and love of family.

A graveside service for friends and family will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Mars Hill Cemetery in Acworth, Ga.
