Joshua Michael Addison, age 37, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1988.

Joshua is lovingly survived by his parents, Ann (Mike) Gazell and Jack Michael (Beverly) Addison; his stepfather, Mike Reneker; his daughter, Lauryn Addison; and his former spouse, Valerie Addison. He is also survived by his siblings: Tyler (Lyndsay) Addison, Sunny (Eric) Parker, Samantha (Nick) Dunfee, Rachel (Matt) Spencer, Ashley Reneker, Blake (Keiva) Reneker, and Michael (Emily) Reneker; his grandfather, Daniel Keck; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom loved him deeply.

Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clint and Nell Adcox; his paternal grandparents, Joel and Jean Addison; his sisters, Heather Leigh Addison and Amber Michelle Dean; his birth mother, Joanne Reneker; and his maternal grandmother on his birth mother's side, Linda Keck.

Josh's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Lauryn. He adored her, spoke of her often, and was proud of the person she is becoming. His love for his family ran deep was protective, loyal, and always wanted to make sure the people he cared about knew they were loved. Whether it was a late-night phone call, a small favor, or simply being present, Josh showed his love through his actions.

Josh had a special love for animals, especially his dogs, who were constant companions and a source of comfort and happiness to him. He had a soft spot for both the vulnerable people and animals—and was known for quietly helping those who were struggling. He had a heart for the less fortunate and those going through hard times, often giving what he could, even when he had very little himself. His compassion, empathy, and willingness to listen made him a safe place for many.

A creative soul, Josh expressed himself through photography and art. He saw beauty in the everyday and enjoyed capturing moments that others might overlook. He also took great pride in his work as a meat cutter, particularly in the deer processing industry, where he valued the skill of his trade and the connections he made with others.

Josh shared many adventures and countless memories with his close friends Jeremy and Kory. Their bond was like family, and the time they spent together was full of laughter, stories, and shared experiences—was something he truly cherished.

Those who knew Josh will remember his huge heart, his deep love for his daughter and family, his loyalty as a friend, and his gentleness with animals. He was compassionate and giving, often putting others before himself. His kindness, generosity, and love will be carried forward in the lives of those he touched.

A visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. on July 28, 2026, at Woodstock City Church, 150 Ridge walk Parkway, Woodstock, GA.
