After a two-year battle with cancer, Katherine Fogarty "Katie" Davis 65 of Marietta GA passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was surrounded by her family.

Katie was born on December 9, 1956, a daughter of the late James and Lois Fogarty. She retired after a 35-year career in Finance at Lockheed Martin. While there, she served as a financial analyst supporting the C-5B, F-22, and P-3 programs, among many other roles. She was an exceptional mentor and leader and was well respected by her peers.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, when asked what her dream job would be, her response was, to be a stay-at-home mom. She had a passion for crafting, cross stitch, reading, Harry Potter, and anything involving her daughters.

Preceding Katie in death are her parents, James and Lois Fogarty, and her brother, Billy Fogarty. Katie is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Lee Davis; as well as; daughters and son-in-law, Missy and Brett Beasley, Marietta, GA., Marlee and Adam Neeley, Marietta, GA.; sister and brother-in-law, Lissie and Billy Grove, Evans, GA.; grandchildren, Charlee Thomas, Kate Thomas, Kenlee Thomas, Addison Neeley, Davis Beasely; and two cats Denver and Sammy Davis Jr.

A memorial service to celebrate Katie's life will be held at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta GA 30066 on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends and family at 11:00 am until service time.
