Kathleen Elizabeth Plummer (Steiert), age 61, of Rockmart, Georgia passed away on February 16, 2024, at the Tanner Medical Center. Kathy was born in Oscoda, Michigan to a military family, the daughter of the late William Julius Steiert and Joanne Ruth McMahon Steiert. She was the youngest of three children and enjoyed the loving attention that she received as the baby of the family. Kathy relished her childhood years, being raised on the picturesque coast of Lake Huron. She formed strong bonds with the Oscoda community and remained in contact with many of her old friends.

Kathy was lucky to have married her best friend, Harold "Hal" Plummer. They resided in Florida for several years and then bounced around the country for work before settling in Smyrna, Tennessee. They survived the triumphs and tragedies of marriage for 31 years before Hal suddenly passed away 4 years ago. Losing her soulmate left a void in Kathy's life that she never recovered from. Kathy was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Steiert, and her sister, Vickie Baldwin.

Kathy leaves behind her proudest accomplishment, her beloved daughter Deanna LaRue and her husband Mike. Kathy is also survived by her grandchildren who she adored, Mason and Demi LaRue. She recently moved to Georgia to be closer to her daughter's family where she made countless memories during her time there.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.
