Kathryn Kramp Schmidt, 87, of Marietta, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1934 to Clare and Lucille Kramp in Pontiac, Michigan.

Kathryn was a 1952 graduate of Avondale High School, Auburn Hills, Michigan, where she was the Valedictorian of her high school class. Kathryn was a 1956 graduate of Michigan State University, with a degree in education. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta (TriDelt) sorority. Kathryn married Tom Schmidt in 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan. They were married for 33 years, residing in Shelby Township, Michigan, until Tom passed in 1990. Kathryn was a high school teacher at both Utica High School and Eisenhower High School. After retiring from the Utica Community Schools, Kathryn moved to Georgia to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters. She has spent the last 25 years in metro Atlanta thoroughly enjoying her role as a very active participant in all her family's activities. In addition to her family time, Kathryn was also an established bridge player, a daily walker, and avid reader.

Preceding Kathryn in death is her husband, Thomas Schmidt; her parents, Clare and Lucille Kramp; and her brother, Richard Kramp. Survivors include her daughter, Kristi (Cameron) Stevens; granddaughters, Sarah Stevens and Katie Stevens; and sister-in-law, Deanna Kramp.

A memorial service for Kathryn will be held at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA 30066 on January 13, 2021 at 4:00PM.
