Obituary

Kimberly Ann Foster Giordano, 55, of Marietta, GA, passed Sunday, December 29, 2019. Kim was doing what she loved, skiing with her immediate family on a favorite annual ski trip in Maine, when she passed due to injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

Kim was born December 6, 1964 in Teaneck, NJ and was raised in King of Prussia, PA.  Kim graduated from Cornell University in 1986 with a degree in International Agriculture.  She was a successful Global Accounts Manager in the shipping line industry for over 30 years and most recently worked at Safmarine North America out of Atlanta, GA.  Kim was very dedicated to her work and highly respected in her industry.

Kim is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Scott Giordano of Memphis, TN and three cherished children, Isabel (23), Michael (20), and Abby (18); mother, Catherine Foster, father, Robert (Carol) Foster; late brother Robert Foster, sisters; Aileen (Jeff) Deak, Melissa Foster, Aubrey (Christopher) Messina, brother Brent Foster and sister Julie Foster.  She is also survived by a very large and devoted family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Above all, Kim was a passionate mother.  Her children were the light of her world.  Kim was happiest enjoying outdoor activities with her family, especially skiing, hiking, and gardening.  She was committed to health and fitness her whole life.  She was a lover of animals (especially strays!).  Kim had devout faith in her catholic religion and was involved in The Catholic Church of The Transfiguration in Marietta GA.

A celebration of her life mass will be held at The Catholic Church of the Transfiguration at 12pm on Friday January 10th, at 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta GA 30066, 770-977-1442, with a reception immediately following.  Time for visitation is reserved from 11am until the mass begins.  Services will be broadcasted via live weblink as well for those who may not have the opportunity to attend at www.Transfiguration.com.
