Lewis H. Lipsius, 83, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A private graveside committal service will take place at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery.

Lewis was born to Howard B. Lipsius and Frances Kuniansky in Atlanta, GA on April 27, 1938. He graduated with his bachelors and medical doctorate degrees from Emory University. After graduating, he served his country as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy.Lewis then went on to have a successful career as a psychiatrist, practicing with several facilities including Wellstar, Ridgeview, and Devereux. Later in his career he served as an instructor at Morehouse School of Medicine. Lewis was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Marietta Rotary Club.

Lewis is survived by his wife, Visitacion "Nene" Lipsius; children, Lewis B. Lipsius, Jody (Rick) Corwin, Leah (Brad) Hollingshead, and Leslie Lipsius; grandchildren, Emily Corwin, Charlie Corwin, Tyler Irwin, and Mason Irwin.
