Lin
Mcnamara
Dec 11, 1965 — Oct 11, 2019
Lin McNamara (Harden) 53, of Marietta, Ga passed away on October 11,2019 peacefully at Kennestone Hospital following an extended surgical complication. Lin is preceded in death by her father Russell Harden, her loving sister Gaye Howington, her Aunt Betty, and her husband Robert McNamara. Lin will be remembered in life by her mother Maggie Harden, her brother Duane Harden, cousin Ann Strother, unbiological sister Kelly Slavin, son Blake McNamara (Leslie) daughter Alison Ward (Cody) and the two lights of her world; her grandchildren Elaina and Caine.
Lin was a die hard Georgia Bulldog fan who tried to refuse treatment for her illness prior to her death because she "didn't want to miss the game".
Lin was a paraprofessional for Dublin City School for 17+ years and adored all of her children. She then worked at Goddard School where she fell in love with teaching again, and then began working for Northside Hospital. She was a devoted daughter to her mother who spent the last few months happily beside her enjoying their time together and becoming an inseparable pair. Lin and her brother Duane became closer towards the end of her life and loved bragging about how attentive and sweet he had been to her and their mother. Lin was an amazing friend and her life long friendship with Kelly Slavin, who became a sister, was always a relationship others envied. Lin was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, friend, and an outstanding Gran Gran to her babies.
She will always be remembered and loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.
