In Loving Memory of Long Le

Long Phil Le, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and proud American, passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 68.

Long was born on September 7, 1958 in Laos to John and Loan Le. Ever the prankster, some of his favorite childhood memories were causing mischief and figuring out the next stunt to perform to entertain his parents and 10 siblings. Unfortunately many of those stunts scared his mother since she was not fond of the sight of blood. In the 1970's Long immigrated to the United States with his family, escaping communism in pursuit of a better future. Through determination, hard work, and unwavering faith in the American dream, he became a proud United States citizen in 1982, a milestone he cherished for the rest of his life.

On December 27, 1986, he married the love of his life, Ching. Together they built a life centered on love, commitment, and family. Their marriage was a testament to partnership, perseverance, and devotion, creating a foundation that would support generations to come.

He became a proud father in 1994 to Donald. He embraced parenthood with the same dedication and loyalty that defined every aspect of his life. Long was very proud to pass along his love of pranks and mischief to his son. Yet among all the titles he held, none brought him greater joy than the one he earned in 2019—the title of "YeYe." His three grandchildren were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, celebrating milestones, sharing ice cream, or simply enjoying time together, being YeYe was his greatest honor.

A loyal friend and trusted companion, Long never hesitated to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He believed that actions spoke louder than words and quietly served others throughout his life with generosity, compassion, and humility. Family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers could always count on him when they needed support.

A devoted patriot, he was deeply grateful for the opportunities America provided. He proudly dedicated 37 years of service to Lockheed Martin, where his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

While his accomplishments were many, his greatest legacy is the love he shared. He believed family was life's greatest blessing and worked tirelessly to care for and support those he loved. His loyalty was unwavering, his heart was generous, and his presence made those around him feel valued and cared for. He will be greatly missed.

Long is preceded in death by his mother and father John and Loan, brothers Dung and Phong, and sister Thu. He is survived by his wife Ching; son Donald; grandchildren Charlotte, Ruby and Daniel; brothers Diep and Truong; sisters Sophia, Suzanne, Rosa, Trinh, and Thuyet; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and friendship.
