Margaret Smedley of Monroe, GA, passed away due to natural causes on June 13, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 for all friends and family.

Margaret was born in Tyronza, AR, the fifth of seven children. She graduated from Frayser High School in Memphis, TN, and then moved to Harrisburg, PA, to be near her sister's family. It was in Hershey, PA, that she met the love of her life, Jesse Smedley. Together they had two daughters, five granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter with a great-grandson on the way!

Margaret loved to read, especially Agatha Christie novels. She enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Penn State Nittany Lion football. Her daughters remember her best in her rocking chair, a glass of iced tea beside her, a book resting in her lap, and a conversation on her lips.

Margaret was preceded in death by Jesse. She is survived by daughters Barre (Rick) and Teisha (Matt); granddaughters Ansley (Kyle), Morgan (Christian), Anna, Kate, and Megan; and great-granddaughter Kinley.
