Marguerite Schnurr, 86, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.  A funeral service will be held at Marietta Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 12:00pm with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

Marguerite was born in Perry, FL on June 27, 1934.  She moved to Cherokee County, Georgia in 1975 where she resided until her passing.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Woodstock. She had retired from Cobb County Schools after many years.  She worked at Mt. Bethel Elementary for over 10 years before finishing at Davis Elementary.

Marguerite is survived by her spouse, Jay W. Schnurr; children, Jacob (Sue) Walter Schnurr, and Kimberly E. McGee; grandchildren, Jason Schnurr, Jackie Burkhalter , Alicia Simpson, and Brittany Carty; great grandchildren, Sadie McGhee, Jacob McGhee, Isaac Simpson, Peyton Simpson, Jensen Schnurr, Calvin Sellers, Jorja Schnurr, Ruby Carty, Mason Schnurr, and Raleigh Carty; niece, Suzanne Haines; many cousins and more friends.  She is preceded in death by her father, Raleigh Walter Paul, Mother, Mary Elizabeth Paul; and brother, Charles H. Paul.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14 prior to the funeral service.  Donations may be made in Mrs. Schnurr's name to First Baptist Church Woodstock or the North American Mission Board .
