Marilyn B. Carlile, 90, of Marietta, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home, Dr. Don Mason will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist church cemetery.

Ms. Carlile was a longtime resident of Marietta.  She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank, owned a hardware store and at the age of 48 decided to go back to school to become a registered nurse.   She received her LPN and was employed by Kennestone Hospital where she worked in the ER. She also worked for Atherton Place.  She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years and loved to travel and made trips all over the world.  She was a very active member of Sandy Plains Baptist church throughout the years.  Ms. Carlile had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Shirley Benson; husband of 48 years, Harold Carlile; sister, Annette Laseau; brother, Ronald Benson; niece, Laura Dulin; nephew, Russell Benson.  She is survived by her sister, Sherrie Dulin; brother, James R. Benson; brother-in-law, Clinton (Dorothy) Carlile and several nieces and nephews also survive.
