Marla Lee West died peacefully surrounded by her children on July 20, 2023 in Marietta, GA. Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Willis Dixon Coffey and Mae Catherine Wentzel. Marla was predeceased by her parents, sisters Lois Blackhurst and Willie Kay Wolf, and her beloved husband of forty years, C. Robert West who passed in 1995. Marla is survived by her sister Shirley Vallina and identical twin Merry Lou McMurray. She is also survived by her three children Dr. D. Keith West (Merry Karen West deceased June 12, 2023), Lydia Tardiff (Jim) and Tara Mezzanotte. She was the grandmother to eight grandchildren: Kelsea West Alexander (Troy), Garrett West, Molly West (fiancé Robert Coe), Sarah Tardiff Davis (Cole), James Tardiff, Victoria Tardiff, Lauren Mezzanotte and Joseph Mezzanotte Jr. and the best "GiGi" to her four great grandchildren: Van and Camden Alexander and Emerson and George Davis.

Marla was an energetic and creative force who spent years sewing, reupholstering, refinishing, and painting. Grandma West loved teaching all her grandkids to roller blade and enjoyed traveling on many family ski trips. Marla was a longtime resident of Ft. Pierce, FL who treasured the Florida sunshine during the winter season. A lifelong Steelers fan, she had a love for spending summers in Slate Run, Pennsylvania biking, hiking, and kayaking well into her 80's.
